Blogging has become a source of valuable information to both the corporates and the public. The bloggers use blogs to critique new products or services introduced by companies and this has become a valuable feedback to the companies, enabling the companies to alter their new products or services accordingly. The bloggers also provide information to the public on the new products or services and thus influence their purchasing.
The blogs have also become a source of information for educational purposes. I would like to cite an example when it was really helpful for one of my research projects. I needed some information on a companies mission and vision statement, as soon as I googled it the first link I got was not of that company but it was a blog forum where bloggers were discussing the mission and vision statements of the company. This gave me a much better understanding of the statements than the one I got from the companies official website.
The blogs have also now become a means of advertising for the companies. Blogging was indirecty advertising for a companies new products or services, which the companies recognised and are now trying to cash in on it by making it a means of advertising.
Blogging which began as a way of people expressing their views, is turning into a major source of information sharing and it is evolving into a new business line. But the questions that still remain are, To what extent the blogs can be used as a means of advertising? What will happen to blogging if it became a advertising means i.e., biasing of the information shared?

Social Informal Networking
In the atricle "The people who make organizations Go -or Stop", the author discusses about the four key role players in informal networking who are vital to the productivity of an organization. Social Networking be it formal or informal is an vital part in the functioning of an organization. The author also further discusses on how Social Networking Analysis can be used to formalize these informal networks.
The author suggests that informal networks may lead to bottlenecks and often hold back the informal networks. The existence for informal networks in an organization is often overlooked or under utilized, by using SNA these networks can be better organized and utilized.
The author concludes by saying that by improving the effectiveness of the role players the organization can increase its operational effectiveness and also help retain the best people who make this possible. I would like to the author to clearly explain the following questions, the process of identifying the role players in informal networks? Will formalizing the informal networks always have positive benefits?
